Plums
A legend has it that coming back from a war in the East Alexander of Macedonia brought not only gold and jewellery with him but also several plum trees. Plum is a real treasure – probably that’s why it is the second most common after apple-trees in our gardens. The soft and juicy fruit contains a lot of important nutrients – sugars, malic acid and citric acid, pectines, tannins, vitamin A, B1, B2, C, E, K, P and PP, as well as potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, natrium, iron, manganese, cobalt and others. The most famous medical effect of plums is purifying the body of toxins, therefore it is frequently recommended as the basic product for purification and detox diets.
