Peaches
In China peach is recognized as one of the five fruits of the Empire of Heavens (next to apricot, plum, chestnut and mesphila), as well as symbol of immortality and eternal life. Peach groves entwined with the scent of paradise and violet blooms have encouraged several poets to sing the prises to this fruit in their poems. Peach is sweet and pleasant investment in the health – it is a good source of vitamin C and potassium, rich in fibres. Fruit contains plenty of healthy carbohydrates, beneficial fito-nutrients, antioxidants and carotenoids, lutein and zeaxanthin.
