In 1795 English fleet introduced a regulation that every mariner must drink 30 grams of lemon juice every day. Soon a similar regulation was introduced also for the French mariners. They knew what they did –lemon had already been considered a universal aid against various diseases for a long time. A lemon contains about a half of the daily necessary vitamin C and three fourths of vitamin P. What are the benefits of lemons? The lively citrus improves the absorption of protein in your body, enforces ability to imbibe calcium and iron, normalizes blood pressure and the functions of liver and improves the process of digestion. Due to vitamin C, lemon is a perfect aid to ward off a cold.
