Cherries
A flowering cherry tree with lighted candles – isn’t it romantic? At Christmas this was a usual thing in Germany until the last century. In due time Germans planted their exotic “Christmas trees” in a pot and took care so that it would blossom in time. On Christmas Eve they decorated the flowering cherry tree with wax candles. A cherry tree is not only an aesthetic but also a very valuable tree – it gives us its healthy berries. Cherries have a relatively small amount of vitamins and calories, but they contain a lot of sugars, mineral substances and water. Nutrients and combinations of this berry take care of our health, fight with cancer, reduce gout and the pain of arthritis, delay the process of ageing and help in the case of insomnia, improve the functions of psychological and mental abilities. Cherry juice helps to fight anaemia.
