Description of the Company

JSC Gutta is the most important producer and distributor of juices made of natural fruit and vegetable, as well as nectars, juice drinks, drinking water and sparkling soft drinks in the market of the Baltic states. The company takes one of the leading positions in the market of the Baltic states and it is the second largest producer of its sector in Latvia. Its assortment has more than 60 products with such trademarks as Gutta, Samba, Gutta MAX, Everest, Rāmava, Rigas Kvass and others.

The company was founded in 1994 in Latvia as a limited liability company, which developed itself over the time and became a joint-stock company. Originally the production developed in Ogresgals, Ogre region. In 1997 Gutta started its production near Riga, in the newly built factory Rāmava in Valdlauči, which became one of the most modern factories in the Baltic.

The process of production is provided by modern equipment that is nowadays fully compatible with the production standards, ensuring the highest quality and credibility to the products of JSC Gutta. The factory is working with tetra-pak installations, the world leader in the packaging industry.

As of the year 2002, JSC Gutta is one of the Nordic Partners & Beverages group companies. All types of drinking water that is produced by JSC Gutta, is obtained from drillings in Ramava that are 128 m deep.

Already in 1999, JSC Gutta was one of the first food companies in Latvia and introduced and certified and internationally recognized quality management systems according to ISO 9001 and HACCP (food safety).

Today the work priorities of JSC Gutta are:

• products that satisfy the expectations of customers and consumers, comply with the regulatory requirements of the law, that are secure, of stable quality and competitive;
• obtaining and keeping the confidence of the customers and collaboration partners by improving the management system of the enterprise continuously according to the standard ISO 9001;
• secure and safe products according to the requirements of food safety standard ISO 22000;
• expansion of the assortment of the products with a new, innovative product development, with the possible minimum use of food additives;
• high qualification, expertise and credibility of our staff, at each place of work.
